July 31, 2014

city collegs habitat for huminityHabitat For Humanity posted a story today on Connie Lok, she is the City College Harlem Campus Chapter President.

She said of her work:

This past year with my campus chapter has been lots of fun and hard work. It’s great to know that I am making a difference, while also bringing others to join. As I volunteer more and learn more about New York’s housing situation, I become more motivated to fundraise more, to raise more awareness, and to build more. Home is a part of you, whether it is family, friends, pets, or a city. With that said, home is also the security, foundation and comfort. I’m glad that I am able to contribute to my city and help make it an affordable place for everyone to live in.
