Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. and NYPD Partner For A Day of Peace & Health

Harlem Mothers Save Logo.jpgHarlem Mothers S.A.V.E. will partner with the NYPD on Saturday, June 21st for A Day of Peace and Health. A Street fair taking place from 10AM -6PM on West 128th Street between St. Nicholas Avenue and Frederick Douglass Boulevard. Community residents young and old are invited to this day of activities geared toward curtailing violence in our communities.

The Street Fair co-sponsored by News Corp., Fidelis Care and Civic Associations Serving Harlem (CASH) will feature “Stop The Violence” activities for youth, young adults and seniors, Entertainment, Food and Prize Giveaways plus the “7 E’s 4 Power Tour” with a special Solution Summit to end Gun & Gang Violence. Jackie Rowe Adams, Co-Founder of Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. says “our kids don’t feel safe walking the streets anymore. We all have a job to do in our community to take back our streets and our community”. The Day of Peace & Health will also include information on employment opportunities as well as free health screenings and there will be remarks from Political, Community and Business leaders including Congressman Charles Rangel, NYS Assemblyman Keith Wright, NYC Councilperson Inez Dickens and Manhattan DA Cy Vance among others.

The Day of Peace and Health is supported by HARLEM WEEK, The Harlem Transformation Project, Circle of Safety (Harlem Hospital), 32nd Precinct, Play for Peace, HCCLC Pastor Vernon Williams, Harlem Children’s Zone, Christian Parrish for Spiritual Renewal, Hip Hop Youth Summit and Power 105.1FM.
