Harlem WWII Veteran Missing (update)

4139719_GPolice are searching for a World War II veteran who disappeared last week.

Richard Micheaux, 92, was last seen on 145th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan taking his usual morning walk, according to police.

Micheaux, who lives on Convent Avenue in Hamilton Heights, was wearing a beige baseball cap with the U.S. Open logo, blue jeans with a white zig-zag patten and black shoes.

Anyone with information regarding Michaeux’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

The public can also submit information by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

The NYPD says all calls are strictly confidential (source).

Update: Mr. Michaeux was found safe in Las Vegas this week.
