Join White House Office of National AIDS Policy Director in a Dialogue for Life!

July 31, 2014

Douglas M. BrooksACRIA and Amida Care are excited to cohost “A Dialogue for Life” forums this August, led by Douglas Brooks, the newly appointed Director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy (ONAP). This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the efforts being made locally by AIDS organizations, consumers and advocates to advance the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS), increase access to care under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) through Medicaid expansion and the State health insurance exchange, as well as explore Ryan White and HOPWA funding needs.

Iris House Executive Director Ingrid Floyd will be among the featured panelists.

The first Listening Session will occur in Upper Manhattan on Thursday, August 7, 2014, to discuss how these matters impact NYC, particularly the neighborhoods of Harlem, Washington Heights and the South Bronx. The second forum will be held in central Brooklyn on August 8, 2014, and will facilitate discussion that is focused on the communities of Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
