The Urbanworld Film Festival-Zane’s Sex Chronicles By Derrick Salters for Harlem World Magazine
There was a buzz in the air Friday night at the AMC Loews Theater on 34th street, due to the screening of Zane’s Sex Chronicles at the Urbanworld Film Festival. New York Times best-selling author Zane mixed it up with media, as did Executive Producer Suzanne de Passe and cast members Maya Gilbert, Laila Odom, Christina DeRosa, Johanna Quintero, Kalon Jackson and comedian Capone. As the interviews and photo opps continued on a little pass the start time of the screening, the crowd’s anticipation started to bubble. These avid readers of Zane’s books wanted to see if the sexiness described in the books would carry over to the screen. They were hungry for a little visual stimulation.
