The Paul Taylor Dance Company www.ptdc.org is partnering with Talenthouse www.talenthouse.com and Self Magazine to give away two scholarships to the Summer Intensive in New York City! For dancers seeking a place in today’s competitive dance world, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! The Wall Street Journal recently wrote about the contest. The article is attached for your information.

Talenthouse is an innovative collaboration site dedicated to giving artists a voice in all creative fields. Through an integrated Facebook platform, artists can promote their talent within their social network and invite their peers to support them through voting.

Participants are asked to submit a video (up to 90 seconds in length) that conveys their love of dance and why they deserve to attend the Taylor Summer Intensive. Dancers from all genres are welcome to compete for the scholarships.

The 20 highest voted dance videos will be reviewed by a jury of five led by Mr. Paul Taylor, and will include Matthew Diamond, renowned dance director of the Taylor documentary “Dancemaker” and top TV show “So You Think You Can Dance,” and current Company members Michael Trusnovec and Annmaria Mazzini.

One man and one woman will be selected.

For further details, please visit www.talenthouse.com. The submission deadline is April 14, voting begins on April 15, and winners will be announced on April 27, 2011.
