KF_register_Fresh_logoKey Food Stores Co-operative Inc., a chain of independently owned and operated grocery stores, is opening its newest Key Food location on West 125th Street in Harlem, NY. A grand opening celebration was scheduled for Nov. 22.

Local officials and Key Food executives, including Chief Executive Officer Dean Janeway, Chief Operating Officer George Knobloch, Vice President of Strategic Planning Chet Koby and Vice President of Business Development & Chief Customer Officer Gino Palummo, were scheduled to be in attendance.

“We are so excited to open our newest Key Food in Harlem, New York,” Palummo said in a press release. “We are happy to be there for the community, especially in light of a recent neighborhood fire that destroyed another supermarket. We look forward to welcoming and serving this neighborhood in the best way possible.”

The new Key Food location has been built from the ground up, offering customers a fresh produce department, a variety of hot and prepared meals, and large seafood and butcher departments. Customers can also enjoy the convenience of a free delivery service, a senior discount policy and access to an ATM.

“I am so proud to open my doors and become a part of this neighborhood,” store owner Mohammed Abuzahrieh said in a press release. “Customers are my highest priority and I want to provide this community with a great shopping experience.”
